LAET Holds "Serving Justice" Event to Celebrate New Office

KNOXVILLE – Legal Aid of East Tennessee (LAET) will host “Serving Justice” at its new Knoxville location on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 starting at 5:30 P.M. The event celebrates LAET’s move into new offices in the historic Stair Building, 607 West Summit Hill Drive in Knoxville.

The evening will include a short program dedicating the new offices and thanking those organizations and individuals whose efforts led to LAET’s move into new quarters. Included on the program are Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero; Dr. B. James Dawson, President of Lincoln Memorial University; Judge Gary R. Wade, Dean of LMU’s Duncan School of Law; LAET Board President Marshall Peterson, of Holbrook Peterson Smith PLLC; and LAET Executive Director Sheri Fox.

A highlight of the event will be barbeque and beverages served by area judges. Scheduled to “Serve Justice” are Judges Bill Ailor, Suzanne Bauknight, Chuck Cerny, Geoffrey Emery, Greg McMillan, and Deborah Stevens; Chancellors Michael Moyers and Clarence Pridemore; and Magistrate Brenda Lindsay-McDaniel. LAET staff will also offer tours of the recently renovated Stair Building.
