Celebrate Pro Bono Recap: TN Free Legal Answers
Tennessee's virtual legal clinic, TN Free Legal Answers, provides low-income Tennesseans access to legal advice from Tennessee licensed attorneys via email. TN Free Legal Answers had a very successful Pro Bono Month in October, with many highlights including the following:
Husch Blackwell Cleared the Queue!
The Chattanooga office of Husch Blackwell cleared the TN queue during their firm-wide service event for Free Legal Answers. This service event spanned all Husch Blackwell offices in states with a Free Legal Answers website.
Law Students Plan Virtual Advice Clinics
Law students at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Belmont University Law School, and University of Memphis Law School planned clinics to work with attorneys answering Free Legal Answers questions. At the clinics, students partner with a TN Free Legal Answers volunteer to research and help draft responses, while the attorneys supervise the students.
Training Community Leaders to Make Referrals to TN Free Legal Answers
TN.FreeLegalAnswers.org and other HELP4TN resources were featured as a resource for community leaders helping neighbors in need during the Administrative Office of the Courts Pro Bono and Faith Days training events in Morristown, Chattanooga, Gallatin, and Memphis.
