The Tennessee Justice Center, a non-profit, public interest law firm, is seeking a Project Manager/Coalition Organizer. This position will be a leader in a team that focuses on maintaining and increasing access to healthcare coverage for all Tennesseans. This requires the ability to work well as a team member, to manage many moving pieces effectively and efficiently, to quickly adapt to fast-changing environments, and to have a positive energy and strong organizational skills and focus.

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Supreme Court kicked off #Help4TNDay with five press conferences in five cities across Tennessee on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. The events educated the public about free legal advice events for all Tennesseans, from Memphis to Tri-Cities, as part of its Access to Justice Initiative, in which all Tennesseans are invited to get free civil legal help online or in person at walk-in clinics near them.

NASHVILLE, TN – The Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services (TALS) announced today that it has received a $20,000 Opportunity Grant from the American Bar Endowment (ABE). The grant will fund the development of TALS’ web-based Legal Wellness Checkup app, which will make important legal services more accessible for all Tennesseans via www.HELP4TN.org.
GALLATIN, Tenn., April 17, 2017 – Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm, announced today that it has relocated its Gallatin office from 650 N Water Ave. to 106 Public Square, Suite 109. The office space is located in the heart of downtown Gallatin in an historic building that dates back to 1924.

Three staff members from the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services (TALS) will present at the 2017 Equal Justice Conference hosted by the American Bar Association and the National Legal Aid and Defender Association. The annual conference, held in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania this year, joins all components of the civil legal aid community to discuss and address issues related to the delivery of legal services to low-income individuals in need of legal assistance.This year's event runs May 4-6, 2017.
KNOXVILLE – Legal Aid of East Tennessee (LAET) will host “Serving Justice” at its new Knoxville location on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 starting at 5:30 P.M. The event celebrates LAET’s move into new offices in the historic Stair Building, 607 West Summit Hill Drive in Knoxville.
